In a time when local food and unique experiences reign supreme, agritourism offers Florida residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy both. The agritourism industry is growing rapidly, thanks to pioneers throughout the state like Robert Moehling of Homestead, FL.

Moehling owns Robert is Here, a 50+-year-old farmstand in south Florida, known for its fresh tropical fruit milkshakes made from a mixture of soft-serve ice cream, low-fat yogurt and milk. He grows his own tropical fruits, including mangoes, key limes, papayas and more. On an average day, he sells about 500 milkshakes, but during peak season, that number can easily rise to 1,400.

Beyond the milkshakes, visitors can purchase flavored honeys, jams and jellies, sauces, and a wide variety of tropical fruits. Located behind the farmstand is a petting zoo with all sorts of local creatures, such as goats, emu and iguana.
