Dye Deviled Eggs

Add some color to deviled eggs by dying them! Here’s how to do it:

  1. Cool hard-cooked eggs completely in the refrigerator.
  2. While eggs cool, prepare color solutions. For each color, combine 1 cup boiling water and 1 teaspoon white vinegar in a large coffee mug, cup or small bowl. Add 10 to 20 drops of liquid food coloring to each container or follow food color package directions. Stir well.
  3. Peel eggs, and gently add one at a time to the individual colors, leaving them in about 10 minutes each to achieve deep color. Remove and gently blot off excess liquid.
  4. Slice in half lengthwise and fill with a favorite filling (like three-onion filling, chipotle bacon fillingavocado lime filling or classic deviled egg filling)
