Add some color to deviled eggs by dying them! Here’s how to do it:
- Cool hard-cooked eggs completely in the refrigerator.
- While eggs cool, prepare color solutions. For each color, combine 1 cup boiling water and 1 teaspoon white vinegar in a large coffee mug, cup or small bowl. Add 10 to 20 drops of liquid food coloring to each container or follow food color package directions. Stir well.
- Peel eggs, and gently add one at a time to the individual colors, leaving them in about 10 minutes each to achieve deep color. Remove and gently blot off excess liquid.
- Slice in half lengthwise and fill with a favorite filling (like three-onion filling, chipotle bacon filling, avocado lime filling or classic deviled egg filling)
