From beer fests to fruit celebrations, New Jersey has it all. Read about some of the best local festivals that New Jersey foodies won’t want to miss this summer.

1. NJ State Crab Festival

The NJ State Crab Festival boasts a block party atmosphere in from of the Ice House Restaurant in Wildwood. Live entertainment is provided all day and includes a s “special performance” by Parrotbeach, a Jimmy Buffet Tribute band. Between crabby bloody marys, a beer garden, various vendors, kid-friendly activities and buckets of blue claw crabs, there’s something for everyone.

2. Helmetta Strawberry Festival

The Helmetta Strawberry Festival showcases a variety of vendors and historic church tours. The festival will include a Kidz Zone and face painting by Petals the Clown, as well as Great Gospel Doo Wop music provided by Santos. Breakfast and lunch dishes will include locally grown strawberries as the main ingredient for strawberry shortcakes, smooths and more. Additionally, home baked goods will be available for purchase as Ye Olde Bake Shop.

3. Italian-American Festival

The Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean hosts the Italian Festival every year to celebrate Italian heritage and culture. There are plenty of eating contests that include pizza and pasta, as well as zeppoles as dessert. Live performances and interactive activities will be featured throughout the day each day of the festival.

5. Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival

With over 20 local gourmet food trucks, the Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival hosts several festivals throughout the summer, featuring fare, beer and music of local Jersey towns. It includes a craft beer and wine bar, plenty of vendors, live performances and activities for kids.
