According to the United States Lavender Growers Association, there are more than 200 lavender farms in the U.S. that open to the public so visitors can enjoy the beloved, fragrant herb. 1. Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm

Kula, Hawaii

When it comes to Hawaiian florals, hibiscus and orchids may come to mind. But on the island of Maui, lavender blooms, too. This purple plant isn’t native to Hawaii but has successfully acclimated thanks to the cool, dry climate of the Haleakala slopes. Open Friday through Monday, Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm is open to the public with a $3 admittance fee. With more than 30 varieties of lavender on 33 acres, visitors to this top lavender farm can explore by foot or via golf cart tour.
