$2.9 billion in cash receipts

Michigan ranks No. 6 in the nation for milk production. Home to an inventory of about 432,000 milk cows, the state produced more than 11.7 billion pounds of milk in 2022, equivalent to about 27,430 pounds of milk per cow.
