Ingredients
- ¾ cup butter (1½ sticks), softened
- ⅔ cup white sugar
- ⅔ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 ⅓ cups self-rising flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips, divided
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch ovenproof skillet.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat in the eggs. Stir in the flour and salt until well combined. Fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Spoon the mixture into the prepared skillet and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips evenly over the top.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until deep golden. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
